Value continues to be the best growing sector within the national cigarette market as adult smoking people more and more search for quality cigarettes at the appropriate price. The proposed price point offers stores a chance to increase their cigarette sales with a popular cigarette brand at a reasonable price point of less than £6 per pack.

JT’s head of communications, Jeremy Blackburn, states: “Value is rising in significance for current adult smoking people. Greater than one in four cigarettes sold nationally nowadays is a value brand, so that stores should assure that their tobacco range mirrors this developing trend. By introducing Winston at new price point, Japan Tobacco offers stores another chance to open valuable sales by going into raising request for value sector products with successful and qualitative American blend cigarettes.”

The release also presents a packaging redesign for Winston Red. The pack will be mostly red rather than white, moving the brand more closely into the world brand identity.

Winston 19s will be offered in £5.79 price-marked packs in the UK beginning with February 2013. The standard packs of Winston Red cigarettes will also be on the market.

  1. Are you paying over $5 per pack of cigarettes? I buy all my cigarettes over at Duty Free Depot and I'm saving over 50%.
