Imperial Tobacco launched a new cigarette range in its key Davidoff brand family.
In June 2012, Imperial Tobacco, a British cigarette maker, was delighted to announce the launch of premium Davidoff iD cigarettes.
New Davidoff iD cigarettes provide smoking people with a premium cigarette experience.
“Imperial made huge efforts in extending the top position of Davidoff in the premium segment,” declared Gotje Rogall, Global Duty Free Brand Manager.
Davidoff iD has a distinctive pack with revolutionary and unique details, dynamic colors that form a contrast with its contemporary black or trendy ivory.
The design of the packs includes a variety of different styles. Each iD logo represents commissioned artwork of selected artists around the world.
Davidoff iD is presented as King Size in four versions: Orange (Full Flavour), Blue (Lights) and Ivory (Ultra).
“iD represented one of the most significant world launches in the history of Imperial Tobacco intended to expand Davidoff’s high-valued portfolio,” added Gotje Rogall.
Davidoff iD is targeted primarily at brand-conscious smokers. The brand’s RRP is £7.75 and profit-on-return is about 8%. Today Davidoff iD cigarettes are available in some areas of the south-east of England and at our cigarettes store.
“Currently, more than 40% of retail cigarette sales come from premium cigarette brands, making around £290m yearly for retailers in England.”
In the UK, premium cigarette brands account for 23% of sales.
The cigarette maker is promoting the launch with point-of-sale in cash, provision of a consumer website and use of advertising.
Imperial Tobacco produces more than 320 billion cigarettes each year and it is the owner of 51 factories all over the world. Imperial’s tobacco products are sold in more than 150 countries. The most famous cigarette brands of the tobacco company involve Davidoff, West and Gauloises Blondes.
The Davidoff range includes Supreme, Classic, Lights, Slims, Super Slims, Ultra lights, Menthol, Menthol Lights, One and Gold.
